Graz is an important junction of the north/south transversal in Europe's rail network. In 2015, the conversion work at Graz station was completed. The large transfer station adjoining to the north of the station is also being rebuilt to meet the requirements of the future.

EUROPTEN was commissioned by the Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB) to carry out the work for the conversion of the overhead line system. This will be done in 14 construction phases to be completed by the end of 2026. The new catenary mast foundations required for this will be handled via the framework contract for the construction of the pile-driven foundations.
