Project

As part of the ABS 46/2 Emmerich-Oberhausen project, the German section is being upgraded to three tracks. The expansion includes extensive work on the overhead line.

The most important construction activities include the erection of pylons, the installation of overhead lines and the laying of control cables.

• BA 3 BZ1 (km 211 to 247): The section was completed in 2024.
• BA 3 BZ2 and BZ2.1 (km 211 to 267): Work will continue until 2025.

A key aspect of the project is the regular construction meetings and the introduction of lean management methods for efficient implementation. Cooperation with subcontractors, coordination of material deliveries and strict adherence to schedules are crucial to the success of the project. The daily adjustments and weekly evaluations of the construction sites enable compliance with safety regulations and the high quality of the work.
