Project

Ulm electronic interlocking

As part of the new Wendlingen - Ulm line project, the additional sections of the future Stuttgart-Feuerbach - Ulm high-speed line will be connected to Ulm main station from the north. ln Ulm main station, the existing interlocking will be adapted to the modified track plan.

Extensive overhead line work will also be carried out in the course of adapting and expanding the electronic interlocking at Ulm main station. These include the construction of in-situ concrete foundations and driven pile foundations, the erection of steel pylons and multi-track cantilevers, as well as the installation of cross-carriages. Overhead lines designed for maximum speeds of 100 and 200 km/h will be laid.

Work began in spring 2021 and is scheduled for completion by the end of 2024.
